On Tuesday night, Republican voters in Oregon will head to the polls with only one official option for the presidential primary.
Oregon is the third primary since Donald Trump became the presumptive nominee, after his last two rivals, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich both dropped out of the race in the days following the Indiana primary. Cruz had put a heavy emphasis on winning in Indiana, but lost the state to Trump.
Since ending his bid, Cruz has left himself open to getting back in the race if given a victory in an upcoming state, according to The Hill .
With only 28 delegates to allot, Oregon won’t push Trump to the finish line of the 1,237 delegates he needs to officially win the nomination. But, as the last remaining candidate, time is on his side.
Polls begin closing in Oregon at 10 p.m. EDT, and we’ll be updating with the results as they become clear. Ahead, catch up on the outcomes from contests held so far. And be sure to check back to see how things continue to unfold.
