We thank model-turned-skin-care-pro Josie Maran for introducing us to the glory that is argan oil way back when. And even though it’s been hailed for keeping complexions in check for eons (read: smooths, restores, hydrates), its benefits certainly don’t stop at your visage.

The oil, which is extracted from Morocco’s native argan tree, is not only rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, but also boasts unparalleled conditioning and anti-inflammatory properties. That means it’s a great natural alternative for everything from combating acne to softening strands and pouts alike.

And because we know there are tons of argan picks (and impostors!) to sort through, we culled everything from a hydrating bath soak to a frizz-fighting conditioner that you’ll definitely want to keep on hand all year long.

The latest addition to Dove's body-wash line is this argan-oil option. It combines everything you already love about the brand's classic cleansers, but kicks the hydration factor up a notch.

Dove Dry Oil Moisture Nourishing Body Wash, $5.49, available at Target.

Night oils are nothing new, but this ultra-concentrated one from Korres contains a blend of six oils (yes, argan is one of them) — yet, it’s fast-absorbing and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin. So while you sleep, your skin gets a boost of moisture, and fights wrinkles and premature aging.

Korres Black Pine Active Firming Sleeping Oil, $62, available at Sephora.

An ultra-moisturizing body butter at drugstore prices? Yes, please. The Egyptian Argan Oil Body Butter from C. Booth combines shea butter, cocoa butter, and argan oil to moisturize your skin even in the driest of conditions.

C. Booth Egyptian Argan Oil Body Butter, $7.99, available at Ulta.

In search of a lightweight conditioner that is packed with oil to bring your hair back to health? Look no further than Matrix’s Oil Wonders Oil Conditioner, which uses argan oil to restore softness and shine.

Matrix Oil Wonders Oil Conditioner, $29, available at Ulta.

This fast-absorbing facial oil from Origins is packed with ingredients that help fade the appearance of aging. Plus, it’s not greasy — yet moisturizing enough to battle fine lines and tired skin.

Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Face Oil, $51, available at Sephora.

Your cuticles tend to dry out first in the winter, but this argan cuticle oil from Orly Beauty saves them from cracking. The blend of argan and jojoba oils helps to nourish and hydrate, making it look like you always have a well-groomed manicure.

Orly Beauty Argan Oil Cuticle Drops, $15, available at Orly Beauty.

Redken’s luxe hair oil will give you silky-soft strands without weighing them down. Use it on damp hair to protect from heat, or after you dry it for added shine.

Redken All Soft Argan-6 Hair Oil for Dry Hair, $30, available at Ulta.

This lightweight oil is ideal for mixing with foundation to keep the hydration going all day.

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Glow Oil, $14.99, available at Ulta.

A few drops of this bath oil in your tub results in a soak that will leave you silky smooth.

Sai-Sei Mineral Retreat Bath Oil, $40 $10, available at SpaceNK.

Argan oil delivers the same moisturizing benefits to your undereyes as it does to the rest of your face.

Kahina Giving Beauty Eye Cream, $65, available at Kahina Giving Beauty.

The queen of argan oil has used the stuff to make one of the most hydrating (and prettiest!) lipsticks out there.

Josie Maran Argan Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick, $22, available at Sephora.

If you're not totally down with using pure argan oil as a face moisturizer, reach for this serum instead. It will deliver similar benefits, but in a lightweight formula.

Elemental Herbology Cell Active Rejuvenation, $120, available at BeautyBar.

Behold: your go-to winter moisturizer. Use it from head to toe for ultra-soft skin through March.

Caudalie Divine Oil, $49, available at Caudalie.

Pure argan oil may be a little too heavy for certain hair types. But by using an argan-infused conditioner, you'll get the softening benefits without the weight. Pro tip: Condition before you shampoo for extra bounce.

Agadir Argan Oil Daily Moisturizing Conditioner, $12.59, available at Target.

This mini bottle of 100% pure argan oil has a ton of uses. We love it as a face moisturizer, lip conditioner, and even a cuticle oil.

Mullein & Sparrow Pure Series Argan Oil, $28, available at Mullein & Sparrow.

This soap delivers a ton of moisture to the skin. Add that to the fact that it's tricked-out with built-in massage nodes and you'll start looking forward to your pre-work shower.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Massage Soap, $6, available at The Body Shop.
